The fall has arrived (status update)

It feels kind of unbelievable, but my vacation has come to an end. Funny. Because I feel like the year just began! The summer is as good as over and the fall hugs me with cooler breeze and some reality check.

For about 10 weeks now I have been waking up every morning with this only thought in my mind: hmm, what do I feel like doing today? and then I head out doing exactly what I like to do.
It has been amazing. I mostly have enjoyed the time doing outdoor activities with great people, both in Sweden and Iceland. Climb mountains, run wherever, paddling kajak, biking the highway, sailing in the archipelago, hiking the highland, playing golf, swim etc. I have gone pick-nick-ing with sushi, strawberries and champagne, BBQ and smiling to the sun. Dinners and lunches with great friends all the time. Family reunion and road trip.

Now I have only this weekend, consisting of one race tomorrow night (Midnattsloppet), and then I will be running in the treadmill again.

Some kind of cross roads it is. New job. New people. New opportunities.
It makes my excited for the future. Almost thrilled. I’m totally ready to step in and make it mine. I have a good feeling.

By stepping into the treadmill it means that the life of routine begins again. Schedule time. Organized. Effective.

On Monday I will have a fully scheduled week in a Intrapreneurship works shop:

One week later “my boys’” schools will start so I will begin the “family life” again. And the week after that I will start my job at Stockholm School of Entrepreneurship.

Of course my training will continue, but so far it has been going quite good. Even though this last week I have allowed myself to sleep in and have long mornings and late nights.
I might even have reached my “appearance” goal for September in only 2 weeks but will though not give anything less than my best the next 2 weeks to make even better progress.

I’m now waiting for information about a meeting at the Triathlon Club of Stockholm and hopefully I can train with them during the fall. As well am I hoping to be able to teach spinning during the dark and cold months in the gym across the street and do my strength training there as well.

My search for a racer bike is still “in progress” but I just found one I really like. Specialized Ruby Elite 105 C2. Carbon frame and shimano 105 gear system. Just a bit out of my budget.. but miracles happens, right?

So in general: life is good. Even better than good. Surprisingly fantastic maybe?

Anyways, this was the status update for now. Boring, but sometimes necessary to get earth-connected.
